Saturday September 21th from 2:30 to 6pm
This is a project that comes from one of our own. His example is in heavy 3/4" plywood using a string of orange Halloween lights inside. His were meant to be mounted on a fence or staked in the yard. We are going to build them using his template, but you can choose to use foam (for weight concerns) or a different shape if you want. The pumpkin pictured is 3' wide and a little over 2' tall. If you want to make/bring your own design feel free to do so, just plan your material size accordingly. You can also use another form of lighting to do these.
4X4 sheet of the material you are using (1" foam or 3/4" plywood are suggested, you can go thinner but it may not be as stable)
1- 8' board (2X2 or 2X3)
2" screws (if you are building yours out of wood)
Liquid Nails (if using foam, we will have it available)
Please bring a jigsaw if you have one, as well as knife, hammer, screwdriver/drill.
Bring along the lights you want to use inside, can be as simple as a string of Christmas/Halloween lights, homemade LEDs, or anything that will fit in a small space and not cause heat buildup.
This will be our last MnT of the year as the 2013 Halloween season is upon us. If you have any projects you need assistance completing, bring them along. If you have a new project you want to show off, bring it as well!
We will have some pulled pork for sandwiches, please bring along a side dish, chips or desert to share.
