Thought I would share this since we did LED's at the last MnT. I ordered some pre wired LED's from http://universal-leds.com/default.aspx they have assorted colors and the 5mm ones were .69 each which doesn't seem too bad for not having to do the soldering. I ordered and received them in about 4 days so if anyone wants some you could probably get them pretty quick.

Ooops just saw the 'simple' part of your question. You could just pipe the air cannon output into the barrel of your pirate cannon, and trigger it manually using a pushbutton. Maybe pipe a fog machine into the barrel for added effect.

Hmm I'm sure you could. Best bet would be something like using a Prop-1 to control a sequence: start fog machine output - fire air cannon which is piped into the cannon barrel - turn on red light inside barrel - play sound effect. Or something along those lines. I don't do any Pirate themeing, but sounds like a fun prop to make!

I know I have seen/heard of people using it for a pirate cannon, can't remember where I read about it at, Maybe Chris can help with ideas how.
