I wanted to gauge interest in Make N Takes this coming year. Seems like interest has dropped since Andy hasn't been around to take the lead.  Personally, I like getting together and making…Continue

Dang,  I deleted this the first time I posted. Rob asked me where I find the angles and crosses I bought for tombstones.  Usually I pick them up as I see them at Goodwill, Savers, ARC, but last year I bought some at Rite Aid in the spring.  They are in the garden section.  Right now they have them and are running 50% off.  You have to sign up for their buyer program to get the discount.  They also have these gargoyles, which are $9.99 with the discount.

Hey! Whose faces do I need to be on the lookout for at Starfest this weekend? :)

Hey Rob,

Yes, I have a PicKit3. Need to have something programmed up for you?

I'm really deciding if I'm going to want to go to Haunt X, I'm intrigued with the GOE two day class.

Comment by Rob Piotrowski on March 23, 2015 at 11:45pm

I decided to not attend any conventions this year. I agree that HauntX should be a lot better this year, it was good last year and I got to meet the people behind most of my inspirations. If Dutch Binary is doing the airbrush classes again they were great, go out on the floor saturday and watch him do a body paint.

BTW does anyone in our group have the pickit 2 or 3 PIC programmer?

We are going.

Yes, the website sucks! I am attending the air brush class on Thursday. We will attend some of the seminars on Friday and perhaps the pub crawl on Friday night. The rest is open :)

Anyone interested in meeting up while in Reno?

This website still confuses the heck out of me.

Noch, I don't see your comment here, but received it in email.

I would love to be able to go to HauntX again this year, but have a business trip scheduled at the exact same time, so won't be able to make it.

It is a fun convention. A little smallish last year, but should be bigger this year and the education and networking are great.

Is anyone considering going to HauntX this year?

Hi, all. I wanted to let you know that I just started a facebook group called "Southern Colorado Haunters".

My hope is that I can get some more people South of the Palmer Divide interested in getting together for make-n-takes, field trips and other get-togethers.

I see that there is already a facebook community associated with the GOE Colorado Haunters group. I'm not trying to compete with that one, just generate more interest down my way.

Y'all are more than welcome to join. It's not limited to just Southern Colorado haunters, despite the name.

I'll be cross-posting events between here and the Southern Colorado group.

Happy New Year, BTW!

Hey guys! It's small business Saturday, and I wanted to tell you all that I wrote a book that you might be interested in. It's called, "7 Paths to Profits in the $7 Billion Dollar Halloween Industry", and it's about having a small Halloween, non-haunt business. I did a talk at Hauntcon earlier this year on the same topic, and had so much fun I decided to turn it into a book! If you'd be interested in checking it out, let me know and I'll share my website address. I don't want to spam the whole group, but I did want to tell you about my book!

Thanks Dave. Nope, never stopped haunting for a second. Just been a little reclusive. Looking forward to getting back into the group though.
