How can we put this group back together again. Who has time and ability to help. And I now have a non Halloween project that involves the same kind of props and skills used for haunting. Would anyone be interested in participating in that?

What would be the topic of this meeting?

I would like to put together a business meeting the evening of the 28th. Anybody interested?

For anyone who's been waiting, Costco has skellies in stock. Grab them asap because they sell out fast.

I'd like to do some skull casting - been looking into it & I'm definitely interested.

I just finished some new latex skull molds. Anybody interested in casting some plaster skulls?

The events for this year are now cancelled.  However, if you would still like to host or conduct, you are certainly welcome to organize it.

For example, I'm talking to another member to help me with a monster mud project.  It will be informal with no set plan, except for "come on over and help".

Hi Don ~ I'm so sorry to hear this announcement. I will miss your leadership a lot and I know others will too. I'm relieved to hear you'll be at some future events should they be planned. I hope to keep in touch for sure.

It's with a heavy heart that I announce my resignation as the leader of SOCAL Chapter GOE.  I have enjoyed the past several years of building, learning, traveling, and creating.

Some of the memorable projects that come to mind; apothocary bottles and PVC candles, green screen filming and acting, helping the Bloodshed Brothers build a watch tower, pneumatic popup, video shooting techniques, more tombstones, corpsing, led lights, vortex fog chiller, caged monstrosity, air cannon, shiatsu grave grabber, and more.

My skill as a haunter would have definately not progressed had I not been involved in this group, and I am grateful.

I'd like to thank all those that taught topics, done many hours of research, gathered shopping lists, organized packets, and were brave enough to stand up in front of a (not always) friendly crowd and teach.

I'd also like to thank those that openned up their homes to host the Make and Takes.  It's not an easy thing to convince your significant other to allow a bunch of haunt nuts wielding sharp tools into your house.

Above all, and the best part, was being able to meet the various people in the Southern California area that shared my love (because obsession is a harsh word) of haunting and building.  Many, many years ago, before the internet, to the days of throwing a black sheet over the porch, I always thought I was the only one that loved to create scary things and be THAT house.  And we all know the internet changed all that, and Halloween forums brought haunters together to share their ideas freely.

Thank you, and I hope to keep in touch with you.  You can always find me on Google+ or Facebook.

There will not be any more events scheduled by me, the rest of this years events are cancelled.

If someone would like to take over the leadership of SOCA GoE Chapter, let me know and I'll make you the Group Administrator.  If you schedule events, you can count on me to attend.
