Hello fellow PMPs,

Happy Spring, oh wait, 8" of snow at my house this morning. Stupid beaver got his prediction wrong, about an early spring.
Ok, as I emailed out earlier, the winner of the next MNT is the Swaying Zombie.
Here is a link to one:
Keep in mind there are numerous ways to build these things. I personally have built two different designs of this same prop, and I know others out there in our club have also tackled the Zombie as well.
The one thing they all have in common is they all run on a wiper motor.Regardless, at the end of the day you have a swaying zombie mechanism ready to be dressed for their debut.
You probably noticed in the video that the zombie is a male zombie. Keep in mind that you can dress yours as you wish. So, even though we will be creating a male body form, you can dress it as you wish.
The cost of this MNT will be $90. The majority of the cost is all in the motor & power supply. If you would go to Frightprops and buy a motor w/power supply, including shipping, you would spend upwards of $55.
With that in mind, the more people that we have sign up for the MNT, the less the cost will be for the MNT. So, most likely you will all get a few dollars back at the MNT.
The $90 will include a working zombie prop. All you will need to add to it is a head, hands, and clothes as you see fit.
If you have a Wiper Motor with Power Supply, you can pay $40, and get the rest of the materials.
As usual our Poormanprops PAYPAL account is available to pay for the MNT.
Please use the friend option when paying, that way there are no fees.

Getting everything ready for the How-To Halloween show in Lansing, Michigan. We will be bringing a walk through haunted house, and a make-n-take. We will also be showing our maker props as well, which show people how the animatronics, electronics, etc. are made in the props. Should be a great show.

For more information about the show, here is the link:

Just had a tremendously successful Maker Faire Detroit this year. PoorManProps showed up in full force showing how we make some of our props. We also had an awesome display, which was fun for all. We received the Make Magazine Award of Merit for the second year in a row.

You can check out all the pics at our Facebook page as more come in.

Ever prop forward,

Afternoon Fellow PMPs,

With the summer flying by, we thought we would get out some information about our next MNT. Our own, Robert Beech, will be doing his Laser Vortex. He has done this MNT, in the past, for various venues in this country and Canada. If you have not seen what one of these can do, check out the link below. All you need supply is the fog, the Laser Vortex does the rest.

This is a great addition to any home or professional haunt.

Date: August 28th, 2015 @ Noon
Cost - $45.00 (Includes everything needed to build your very own Laser Vortex)

The location, and by what date you need your money to us by, is still being confirmed. We will get out future emails to cover those topics.

Any questions, please let us know.

Ever prop forward,

Good morning fellow PMPs,

Just wanted to get out a quick reminder about this coming Saturday's MNT. Yes, it is already June 20th, where has this year gone?
Keep in mind that the MNT is at a new location this time. We would like to thank Jesse and Tiffany for having us into their new home. I told them we would try not to trash it :^)

Here is their address:

35575 Oakwood Ln

Westland, MI 48186

Jesse has informed me that he has a very long driveway, not that he is bragging. So, please do not hesitate to park in his driveway.

As usual we will get started at high noon with a short meeting, then onto the build. If you would like to bring something to munch on or drink please do so. Also, if you would like to share something you built or bought please bring that along too. We will also be discussing Maker Faire which is coming up in July.

We will be accepting money for shirts at the meeting. If you can please bring exact change for the shirts that would be highly appreciated. We will be ordering shirts on the 30th.

As for tools you could bring to help, if you would like. We will be using:

1. Power Drills

2. 1/8" & 1/4" Drill Bits.

3. Phillips screw bit for drill

4. Sockets for 1/4-20 bolts

5. 1/8" Aluminum Flat bar cutters

If you have any questions please let us know.

Ever prop forward,

I have been asked about shipping of our shirts. So here is the skinny.
1 shirt - $5
2 or more shirts - $10
So, if you need your item or items shipped, please add the appropriate amount to do so to your paypal payment.
Also, in your paypal please make sure you let me know exactly what you want and sizes.

Maker Faire Detroit is quickly approaching. Making plans now for our 20'x40' tent area. Shooting for another great year and possibly winning the Maker Merit Award from MAKE magazine.
