Good morning fellow PMPs,

Just a friendly reminder about tomorrows meeting at the Toby's house. We will be making plans for our booth at Maker Faire Detroit in July. If you wish to help with this please drop by at high noon for a meeting about it. The more people we have the easier it shall be they always say.
Also, for those that attend, you are more than welcome to stay for a 2pm open meeting about Great Lakes Fright Fest, which is coming up in late May. Food will be served :^)
Here is the link to the website for more information.

Good morning fellow PMPs,

We have decided upon a date for a planning meeting for Maker Faire 2014. For those that may not know, we have taken on a task of a 20x30 foot tent, which includes a 20x20 foot walk through haunt showing various props. Here is a link to the Maker Faire website if you would like to check it out.
So, we need to sit down and decide what the plan is going to be and who is going to be able to help and what days. We are going to not only need booth workers but also set and tear down people. We will also like to borrow various props from members to place not only in the haunted part but also in the closeup viewing area as well. We will have a 10x20 foot area where we will show the inner workings of how we create some of these props.
Here is the information on the planning meeting.
When: April 12th, 2014
Time: High Noon till roughly 2pm.
Location: The Toby's house.
Here is the Toby's address:
34833 Michelle DrRomulus, MI 48174-3437
Also, for those that wish to stick around after our meeting, there is an open planning meeting for Great Lakes Frightfest starting at 2pm at the same location. For those of you that may not be familiar with GLFF, here is the website:

It is a family oriented haunters camping weekend. A great load of fun, here in Michigan, at Totem Pole Park.
As usual, if you have any questions please just let me know.

Good morning fellow PMPs,

For those that missed our MNT this past weekend you missed a great one. We ended up building 6 Ghost Shovel props. We also learned that $5 shovels, made in China, from Home Depot are very hard to drill holes into. Needless to say we broke or burned out roughly 6-8 drill bits before 18 holes were drilled. Crazy
Also, our fellow PMPs, the Toby's are grandparents again. Let's see, I believe that is #4. So, congratulations are in order. CONGRATULATIONS
I would like to welcome all new members to the club. We are pushing the 50 member mark and all steams ahead.
As for MNTs, I need ideas... What do you guys and gals wish to make? Keep in mind that nothing is out of order of us making it. We can make small to large props, electrical, pneumatics, foam, anything goes. So, get those suggestions in.
Currently, we are looking at May for our next MNT, keeping with our 2 month span.

Afternoon Fellow PMPs.

I just found out from John, at Chaotic Creations, that the weekend of the 22nd, we will be filmed during the class. It seems a college is doing a documentary on John. He asked me if it would be ok if he used footage of our PMP sculpture class.
I told him that it should be no problem. With that being said, please wear your PMP attire to the class, or even your MCHC attire as well. We need to represent the clubs proudly :^)
I would also like to get out there that there is still time to sign up. Currently, only 1 member has paid for their class spot, out of the 7 that said they were going. So, PLEASE, get your money into John sooner than later. With that in mind there are still available spots. The class seats 10 people. So, if you are interested, please let me know asap.
Also, John has added a March 1st class to his schedule. This will be the last class due to commitments he has on other projects. So, let me know if you would like to attend.

Good morning fellow PMPs,

We have been getting a great response in regards to the sculpting class coming up on February 22nd. We currently have 7 signed up for the 22nd. Keep in mind that the class is limited to 10 people. I will be sending an email to John (Chaotic) on the 10th that contains all those that are registering for the 22nd class. He will then send out an email about paying.

Here is the list for the 22nd, thus far:
Steve Toby
Randy Goddard
Brian Pennell
Carrie Deslippe x2
Jeff Hartwell x2

So, if you are interested in the 22nd date, please get me your name before the 10th of February or sooner.
Also, keep in mind that Chaotic has opened up February 8th as well. You can go directly to his sight or his facebook site to sign up or shoot me an email and I will forward it on to Chaotic. It is the exact same class as offered on the 22nd. This class is also limited to only 10 people, so, register sooner than later to secure your spot.

Good morning fellow PMPs,

The date has been set for the upcoming sculpting class with John Luvell at Chaotic Creations.

Keep in mind that this class is at Chaotic Creations , which is in Watervliet Michigan.
I included the original hand out in this email.

So, the date is Saturday, February 22nd. Start time is 9am sharp.

Here is the important part. I need to know by email by February 10th who is going. Some of you have already contacted me, but I need you to do it again now that the date has been set. Cost is $50. John Lovell will send out an email on the 11th about paying options for those attending.
This is a first come class, so, keep in mind that there are only 10 spots available for this class. So, if you are interested please get with me sooner then later.

You can reserve your spot by emailing me at,

Good afternoon fellow PMPs,

Hope everyone had a good Christmas break. Hope you received all the ghoulish things you wanted, or if you are like me, I get gift cards to places of use like Home Depot, Michaels, etc..
Just wanted to throw out one last reminder of our coming MNT this weekend on Saturday the 4th. We will be starting at roughly high noon.

Here is a list of what is happening:
1. Quick meeting about 2014 with the PMPs.
2. Brian (GLFF & KKs husband) will be giving a Fogger Maintenace demo.
3. Fog Fluid MNT. Please bring your $10/per gallon to give to Matt.

Over all MNT time will vary due to your own speed, but the entire meeting should not take more than 2-3 hours.

Keep in mind that even if you did not sign up to make fog fluid, please come on by and socialize and help others if you wish. If you know of some one that may be interested in the club but not sure, please bring them on by.

If you would like to bring some drinks or goodies to pass around please feel free to, all is welcome.

If you have never been to the UofD Campus, I included a map. We will be meeting in the Chemistry lab which is building #5 on the map. Please enter from the south entrance and go upstairs to the center waiting area. There will be someone there to point you the rest of the way.
As for parking you can park in either #30 or #31 parking areas. The easiest way to come in is from the McNichols entrance. If you do come in the Livernois entrance please note you will need to drive around the campus towards the north to get around to parking areas close to the building.
When you get to the gate, please tell the attendant you are here for the haunt meeting in the chemistry building. Matt will let them know to expect us.

If you have any questions please just let us know.

 Good morning fellow PMPs,

A quick welcome to all of our new members, of this past week, to the club. We have now hit 47 members on the GOE website for those keeping tabs. As I have always said, The More The Scarier....

I wanted to drop out one more email about the fastly approaching Fog Juice MNT in January. Keep in mind that the need for this quick response is due to the holidays and possible shipping issues on getting the materials to the college in time.

Here is the skinny:

1. There will be a Fog Machine Maintenance discussion/demo.
2. Fog Juice MNT

The MNT will cost $10 per gallon of fog juice you wish to make. Money will be paid directly to Matt at the MNT. Gallon jugs will not be provided, so, please bring what you wish to store your juice in. Keep in mind that 2 liter bottles work nicely.

As of this morning I have the following people signed up:
CJ - 2 Gallons
Cindy S. - 1 Gallon
Jesse - 1 Gallon
Steve/Lisa - 2 Gallons
Marcell - 2 Gallons
Randy - 2 Gallons
Cliff K. - 2 Gallons

Please, if you are not on the list above and wish to take part in this MNT, let me know today or tomorrow. I will be letting Matt know this weekend about the amount we will be making. I do not know if there will be any extra available or not.

Always remember, that you are more than welcome to just come for the fog machine discussion or to just socialize. All are welcome.

Any questions, just let us know.

Good morning fellow PMPs,

I hope everyone had a nice 4 day weekend, or at least some what of one. Hope you didn't get trampled by the bargain shoppers on Friday, or Thursday afternoon for you diehards out there.

I would like to welcome any newbies to Poormanprops. You are highly welcome here and look forward to meeting you and seeing what you can possibly bring to the club. Keep in mind you don't have to bring anything :^)

As for the January 4th MNT, which is making fog juice at UofD, I still need to make sure that everyone gets a chance to come and make. So, please let me know by this saturday if you are coming and how many gallons you are making. I told Matt (MCHC) that we would let him know by this Saturday (7th) how many gallons we are making, so, he has enough chemicals on sight. All this is due to holiday shipping issues. Keep in mind it is $10 per gallon, which does not include a container. This will be paid to Matt at the MNT.

This is the list I have currently:

Randy - 2 Gallons
Marcell - 2 Gallons
Jesse - 1 Gallon
CJ -  2 Gallons
Cindy S. - 1 Gallon

So, if you are not on this list, please let me know by this Saturday the 7th if you wish to participate in this MNT. Keep in mind you can still come and socialize if you wish and not do the MNT.

I will be sending out directions to the MNT later this week. Feel free to bring some snacks or drinks if you wish.

Ever Prop Forward,

Afternoon fellow PMPs,

Just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you don't eat to much :^) Who am I kidding, we will all be chowing down for sure.

Quick reminder,

If you are interested in MNT making Fog Juice on January 4th, I need to know by December 7th, so, please let me know as soon as you can, and how many gallons you wish to make.
Money will be paid, $10/Gallon, at the MNT.

Ever prop Forward,
