Just getting going. Now a screaching hault.

Hey all.
So all the holidays have passed and now it's time to focus on a revamp of the haunt. Since I gave away most of our props after Halloween I have a lot of work to do. It is just time to start over and by giving away the older props it forces me to get my ass moving. So i have at least five projects slated to go and now we come to a stop. What? I'm just getting going.
Ok. I see the need for a little back story here. Through the years i have had numerous operations for this and that. All in… Continue

What Would you do in this situation?

Hey all. Well let me start by saying thanks to all who voted for us in the local tv station contest. We came in third. We where beaten by a baby stuffed in a pumpkin!!!! HUH??? If i had ever done that to my kid they would lock me up for child abuse. Just kidding.. But this contest brings me to my point.

We entered another contest which we do every year on this web site. http://cnyhomepage.com/content/halloween_contest So all of the… Continue

I've said it a hundred times. Haunters are some of the most creative people i know.

The Burrhill Boneyard 2009. The good. The Bad. & I gave everything away.......

So here we are my fellow haunters. The night has passed and most everything is cleaned up. This year was nuts for us. I only run the haunt on Halloween night, But this year i opened it on Friday also, on the account that a driving rain storm was going to walk over us starting at 3pm on Halloween day. So i scrambled to open the haunt Friday night and it went well other than a modest turn out. Everything worked as it should with only a minimal amount of bubble gum and duct tape. And the weather wa… Continue

The point you know a new haunter is born....

So my son has always been at my hip as the haunt has evolved through the years. But this year was different. He is now 12 and is starting to go his own way in life. His friends the computer and a little more freedom had seemed to take him away from haunting a little. Not to mention making dad a little sad. But the other day a miracle happened. Or at least a miracle for a haunter. While sitting on the couch he says to me "Dad i had a dream last night that the haunt was not there on Halloween" I k… Continue
