New Props for 2015: The Haunting At Bell Hall

We had a great Halloween this year. Things have been super busy so I am just now posting my new props for the year. I have pics below and a video at the end.  Screaming Spectre:I built a screaming specter prop for this year. I have had a FCG in my mausoleum in past years but I wanted to add a jump scare this year. I purchased a 8 foot pneumatic scissor mechanism from Dead Rising Props. I attached a Costco skeleton to the mechanism that I customized. I used a PicoBoo AC and a wireless remote to…See More

Lightning Machine Help

I am looking at getting the firefly 211 http://www.lights-alive.com/ctrl_firefly_211.html this year. I have 2 questions:1. What kind of lighting to use. I am trying to decide what kind of lights to use. I have heard that the white LEDs are the best but they are out of my budget. I am considering using 2 500 watt halogen work lights or photo floods. I have heard that people get photographers flash bulbs (photo floods) and use those…See More

Advice Requested On Buying A Flying Crank Ghost

I have always been amazed by FCGs and I want one for my haunt this year. I am considering buying one instead of building one. Like many people I am very busy and buying a FCG would allow me to spend more time on building other props that you can't purchase this year.I have looked online and it looks like you can buy them from several places. There are multiple sellers on ebay and on several websites. I am looking to see if anyone has bought one before and had good experiences. I saw that…See More

Profile Information

The most important question! Do you build the elements that go into your haunt, and/or want to learn more about building props? Oh, and if you choose no, we're going to have to delete you.
Yes
How long have you been haunting:
Three to five years
Your haunt comprises...?
Animatronics
Your haunt - Do you prefer?
Spooky ambiance
Tell us a little about your haunt..
I do a "gothic" graveyard with a mausoleum, and over 40 tombstones. I have a homemade coffin with a rising lid, a home made pnuematic grave jumper and a projector ghost. I also have a animatronic witch, giant spiders, and the usual pumkin scarecrow. I do buy many things but in recent years, I have started building the major props. I like to add one to two new major props per year. I really like the look and style of yard haunts like the Davis Graveyard, Love Manor, etc. I aspire to achieve their art design.
When it comes to props/decorations in your haunt, would you say you are:
Amazed by what you can find at Goodwill
Which statement comes closest to describing your haunt's attitude toward kids?
for the kid's - not too scary
You understand that any non prop related content will be deleted?
Yes
