So how do we do that? Now this is going to upset several of you, and for that I apologize up front! Please understand. “this is my personal belief that there is no right or wrong way to Haunt, and that the following recommendations are just that,…

HAUNTING PROFITABILITY – PART 2: Profit Must Be Greater Than or Equal to Zero

All that Said, it is possible to make a living with a Haunted Attraction, and there are people who are doing just that. For most of my life I have been doing everything in my power to help those who are not making any money, get to the profitable stage:

HAUNTING PROFITABILITY - Part 1 “It’s just a Haunted House… how hard could it be?”

I frequently get phone calls from people interested in starting a Haunted House. Sometimes they are Home Haunters who have been told by their friends and neighbors that “Their Yard Haunt is 10 times…

Just wanted to say hello!

Hello GoE members!

I am new to the garage but have been around the industry for a few decades and wanted to say hello. If we have not met then you don't get out much. I am at most of the conventions and do seminars as offen as they will let me. My focus is mostly Haunt design, with some increasing throughput, code compliance and timed ticketing thrown in.

I haunt for a living through D.O.A Haunted Design and Consulting and HAuNTcon (the Haunted Attraction National…

Thank you so much!  I did sculpt the Frankenstein.  Here's the process (in reverse order, so start at the bottom) if you're interested: http://chickenhaunt.blogspot.com/search/label/Frankenstein%20Skin

The piano player (couldn't whip up an organ in time) uses a simple servo-driven crank mechanism to slide the arm back and forth, and another servo attached to that to lift the arm up and down.  Frankly, it was a flawed design, but in the end it did the trick.

That groundbreaker zombie is one of my favorites, too.  I'm glad you like him!  I actually ended up selling a couple duplicates to other haunters.

Thanks for taking a look!  I really appreciate it.

Glad to hear it!  It's one of those movies that really stuck with me as a kid.

While I have the attention of a haunting great, I don't suppose I could convince you to watch one of my haunt videos?  The first one here shows a little of everything from my most recent haunt.  I know it's different from what you do, but it would be really cool if you could take a look.  Thanks!
