Haunted Mansion Stencil Wallpaper, Part II

Now it's time to paint our design. Roll out the wrapping paper, weighting the corners if needed. Starting in the upper left corner, position your main stencil. Squirt some black paint into a dish or whatever, and lightly dip the medium-sized stencil brush in the paint. The trick with stencilling is to have just a little paint on your brush, otherwise it leaks underneath, ruining your design. So, once you've loaded your brush, you may need to dab it a bit on some paper towels.

Haunted Mansion Wallpaper Stencil, Part I

WARNING: Stencil burners heat to a frillion degrees Fahrenheit. Always use a burner on a heat-proof surface, and NEVER touch a hot burner tip!

I've posted 2 options as far as making the eyes and mouth. Option 1 entails burning only one stencil, and cutting out and gluing on the eyes and mouth. Option 2 entails burning a stencil for the eyes and mouth, and requires more paint and time. I went with Option 2, as I'm not sure how long… Continue

Thanks for the compliment! Your haunt looks good and like a lot of fun, too. I had often toyed with the idea of an old west haunt, and what that would be like. Maybe one of these days!
