Afternoon Fellow Haunters,

I am looking for an inexpensive relay to use to trigger props.

I am running a 5vdc controller. I need it to trigger a relay which will supply 12vdc to a prop.

Any good ones out there?

FCG Motor Alternatives

Posted on July 19, 2013 at 1:00pm 5 Comments

Afternoon fellow GOEs,

Anyone out there found a low cost motor alternative for the FCGs? I am currently planning on using a rotisserie motor. I know there are some others out there that cost upwards of $40+. My rotisserie motor is roughly $25. Reindeer motors just don't seem to have the power without additional weights, which I would like to not use.

Is there a GOE get together planned for Transworld this year in St.Louis? I know a few members of the Poor Man Props group are going to be there..

Hey Randy thanks for the comment on my Zombie Walker. I actually documented the process on the Hauntforum. I have video that shows you how I got the movement from the lower half. If you want to check it out here is the link:

Hi, I don't have a close up of her. But i will take a picture of her head for you. She is a wig head carved and coated with latex, cotton and then painted. I put human hair on her. She is on a small tree i cut down. The limbs are her arm and i made hands. I put old curtains on her that were stained with tea to give it an old look.

Hey, thanks for the compliment on my prop. You have some GREAT photos. On your roasting guy over the fire, have you seen how to make realistic coals? Let me know, if not. It's a great prop trick.
