Yes all makeup was done by us. We are huge on actors. Nothing can beat a guy in a mask yelling "boo" haha. We were lucky to have 10 people scare in our '08 haunt. It's challenging living about an hour or so away from Knotts Scary Farm because that's what our haunts get compared too. There's a huge "go bigger" demand on our shoulders. But now we have the time to start to building things. We just started working on the drop down picture scare.
Our 08 haunt wasn't big on the props or anything we just didn't have the time this year but now we are going to start making our own stuff for our 09 haunt.

"Ever since we were little we've had an interest in haunting. When we first moved into our house back in 1991 we had a neighbor who did a little a haunt up and down his driveway. We would go there every year and eventually got hooked. Eventually after the few hours of trick-or-treating we would sit outside the front door of our parents house and try to scare people.
About ten years later (2000-2001)...around 6th grade we started collecting our own props and ideas to break away from our moms 'cute' Halloween decorations.
Armed with a few roles of black plastic some duct tape a strobe light, and a fog machine we set out to build our first haunt.
This entailed a cardboard coffin with a real person inside, a person hiding behind a brick pillar, a cardboard box by the front door with a hole cut out of it for a head to fit through that would snap to life as visitors would take their candy.
From the driveway to the front door was 25 feet of UN-terrifying disaster.
We LOVED every minute of it!"
That was how it all started and since then we've brought you 5 home haunts.
Our most successful to date was our 2008 haunt
"Night Terrors" with a huge turn out of around 600 people we say THANK YOU to everyone that helped make it a Halloween to remember.

I'm going to try to put together a How-to on ChromaDepth (at HalloweenForum) in the next month. Here's a quick and dirty overview:
First, you need ChromaDepth glasses. If you want to test out how it looks, grab a set of the Crayola 3D glasses that they have in their 3D chalk kits. What happens is the glasses make red colors advance and blue colors recede. This works in daylight but looks phenomenal with fluorescent paints and black light.
Design your panels with the red advancing and blue receding in mind. It would be easy to simply prime plywood panels with black paint. If you can't deal with the weight, you can do black landscape fabric. Draw out your design in white paint first (for the fabric, it takes a bit of work to fill the fabric in with the white primer). You need the white painted first so the color paint pops and you don't waste as much. Then, either use a brush or airbrush and go to town. I used Wildfire Fluorescent paints.
Hope that helps :)
