I was doing some recon on the train project, when I came across a sad story about those barrel trains. At a fundraiser last year, several cars flipped, killing an 8 year old girl and severly injuring other children. Scary thought! Maybe I don't want a motorized ride. Maybe I will go for the Murder Ride idea and push it through the haunt myself!

I have being currently researching donkey engines/mine trains. The Calico Mine Train at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California happens to be one of these trains. When the ride was constructed back in 1959 -1960, it's creator choose to use electric motors inplace of a fuel powered engine. The locomotives are powered by large General Electric motors with onboard batteries.

Heheh...yeah, I was especially bad this year. I had actual real money when I went to Transworld this year and went a little crazy.

Good to hear you like the window tut. It's in the workshop now and I think I'm going to hang it up on the wall all the time ;)

Hey there! I made the panels in that picture but not the face. I got it at Transworld from Haunted Enterprises. It was a great effect because it's quite deep and gives the ToTs an intimidating structure to walk under. It's a latex shell with foam poured into the backside.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I just thought I should share a couple of holiday photos from my local cemetery!  When I drove past it a couple of weeks ago I noticed that there were Christmas lights up in the cemetery so I stopped this week and took a couple of photos to share with all of you!

Alright, so I'm searching the web trying to ID a photo for a trivia contest when I come across this nifty bit in a blog I'm searching through.

Its the The Saw That Dripped Blood... Scarf! Plus you can get the plans for it from the same website. LOL! If I crocheted instead of the occasional bout of clothes sewing or embroidery I might be tempted to try this myself. …

A live steam/ backyard railroad haunt... awesome!

Posted on December 12, 2010 at 12:07am 5 Comments

A few blogs ago I commented about how someday when I finally build my own "live steam"/backyard railroad*, I want to haunt it much like a darkride. Well, in a weird coincidence I was researching the Mr Walt Disney's backyard railroad, its history, and where it was today. Interestingly his barn/railroad workshop is in a park in Los Angeles on the grounds of the Los Angeles Live Steamers railroad club. When I was looking through their photo gallery I found this link:…
