3-axis controller box

3-axis skulls have been a very popular build for the last 3 years. HalloweenBob got the ball rolling with his dissertation on the Halloweenforum which is 185 pages and still growing.

Once you assemble the skull, the big question remains, which is how to connect the skulls to the computer. This how-to can help.

These are the parts I used for my controller so individual results may vary.

Another Halloween in the books

We had over 230 ToTs this year. No actors and I didn't have time to set up the 3 axis skulls or the animated pumpkins or set up more background lighting. I was able to spray on some webbing which shocked me that it went up without a fuss. Couldn't find the timers for the fog machines so they had to be pressed when there was a spare moment. The worst of all, the ghosts on the Axworthy couldn't handle the speed. Next year, I need a stronger line for the Axworthy and the Ghosts.

I think I'm gonna build till I drop.

We finally finished painting the walls (I think as there are some walls that we set aside for inside the cell walls that we are not using this year). It's good that we finished when we did as the wind started to kick up something fierce.

We were able to complete all of the framing of the studs for inside the garage yesterday. Today we were able to get most of the walls up and only have a few more to put up before we add the blacklights, speakers, security cameras and webbing. We still need to p… Continue

A little bit closer to having the Haunt Walls done.

I have all of the haunt walls framed (thank goodness) and now just need to put together the studs so the walls have something to attach to. My brother was supposed to come over today and help me with putting up the studs, but the dork decided not to and called after sunset to see if he could still come over. Of course by then, it's too late to really do any decent building so I let him leave his excuse on the answering machine.

I still need to paint the walls before I can attach them to the stu… Continue

More crossed off the list...and yet!

I was able to cross off my list the 3 axis skull I made for a friend and re-did the finials for my cemetery entrance so they wouldn't pop off. I had to add to my list a costume for my niece but she wants a kimono and so far I have the robe part almost done. I'm almost done with the cape for my costume but satin sucks and I am going to make sure if I need silky material in the future, it will be something other than satin.

Little things are falling off the list in a timely manner. If the tempera… Continue

Dionica, It's probably cheaper to get the parts from Grave Yard Skulls. He is low on stock! But once you place an order he will produce them for you!

Dionicia..I'm working on the singing pumpkins setup for the Trunk or Treat event at my kids school. I've been so busy working on stuff for the haunt at my house I kind of left this til last minute. I ran the audio sync on VSA and it doenst work very well since the audio track has the music and vocals. I'm not sure I'm going to have time to program the routine myself. So I was wondering if you would be willing to share your VSA routine? I'm using some extra 425BB servos from my 3-axis that I was planning to do this year so pretty much everything should be fairly close in terms of programming.
