I did it! I made a Laser Vortex!
I made my GoE Laser Vortex and LOVE it!
I set it up at the end of our hallway pointing out of the linen closet…..looked awesome.
I only wish my camera would have capture the true visual affect the vortex has.
My son was is pure heaven for 30 minutes pretending the hallway was sucking him into another dimension….he named the Vortex “Wormy” since it’s a worm hole to another world (he told me) Duh!.
Things I learned making this toy….
1) One of fog machine no longer works
2) My other fog machine SUCKS and I need to upgrade
3) You don’t have to have an on/off switch if you don’t want to add it (take batteries in and out)
4) See the value of the potentiometer (going to go back and add that)
5) Solder is freaking HOT
6) Double sided tape ROCKS
7) I suck taking night pictures (ok I just hate my camera)
8) and lastly I can make something that moves :)

- with the pot you can play with the speed and get a very cool strobing effect.
