The Demon Watcher...Shadow Demon...is almost Complete

Here's an update on my Lil' Demon project...I've been working on. The BIG DEBATE going on right now is colors for his body.

Kids want to leave him black/white tones like a shadow....hence "Shadow Demon" reference (which I do like that idea - if I tone the white down a bit more). I added red tones to his face and he ended up looking like a strange purple freak...so I blacked him out again. Now I'm in a holding pattern...what shall my little demon look like.....and trust me I want this damn project DONE already!

Give me your thoughts....leave him "as-is" or add red tones...

Oh yea - I'm going to add the words "Death Becomes You" on the front on the base...although it should read "Your Pain in the @$$" :-)

Thanks Scott for the info on the bear claws (huge help) and SteveO for the foam idea (strong base for tips). I ended up adding paper clay over the tips to match the wing width and body style a little more. I can definitely see using this idea on future projects. Below are a few shots from my How-to I'm working on......Thanks again guys!

Happy Hauntings Everyone

***his total weight is 85lbs OUCH***I still have to drill the holes for the rebar to slide through for lifting and transporting purposes in the base****

Well...I think I'm going to leave him as-is using a red spot light in the graveyard this year...One good thing with home haunting....you can always modify as you go.

85 pounds.............that's a lot of demon.
Agree on the check with lights before making the call for red.

Do you know yet what type/color lighting you'll be using to light this prop?? It might make a big difference in whether you want to use any red on it or not??....

I like the black and white paint job you have. Looks great!
As is, it reads "gargoyle." If you want "demon," then yes, a little more color would be good.
Perhaps you could try dry brushing the red...
