We had a coffin in our display at work a couple of years ago. I wanted to have a phone inside with the annoying N***a ring tone but it didn't work because we couldn't make it loud enough. That would have made people look twice when they heard it go off though.
Beautifully crafted prop!
I love this prop!! How cool and creepy this would be at night in a yard haunt cemetery:)
Hey Barbara! The bell has a small neodymium magnet embedded into the top of its handle which responds to a 12vDC electromagnet built into the support structure. If you look at my photo albums you'll find an album showing the building of the support structure and how the electromagnet is hidden within it. I'll be posting additional photos of the electronics soon. The prop's animation is managed through an EFX-TEK Prop-1 controller and a HC-2 'Amigo' board. I also shared the program code itself on my page via a blog-post. I'm hoping that other haunters will build upon this prop and create something even better!
What mechanism did you use to make the bell shake? Unique prop!
